Lüch da Ciampidel Farm

Our farm in South Tyrol: Family & Philosophy

When your job becomes a calling

The farmstead Lüch da Ciampidel in South Tyrol would not be what it is today without the people behind it, who have been passionately committed to the production of healthy food, animal welfare, sustainability and the care of the natural environment for 13 generations.

The love for our homeland & our countryside with all its treasures was put into our cradle. The sustainable use of and healthy respect for natural resources are extremely important to us. We focus on quality rather than quantity - in all circumstances of life.

Family portrait: Behind the scenes at Lüch da Ciampidel

The Agreiter family, Manuela and Vito, with their grown-up children Christian, Michael and Anna, take care of the farm & family business including the farm shop. Manuela can be found in the farm shop, where she will help you with tips and advices. Vito, however, takes care of the well-being of the animals and works in the butcher's shop. Michael is responsible for the kitchen-ready products, while Christian is in charge of the farm shop and is passionate about the butcher's profession.

The butcher of your choice

Christian Agreiter has followed his father’s footsteps and is the expert and contact when it comes to high-quality meat. At a young age he initially wanted to become a chef, but then decided to go for a butcher apprenticeship at the Emma Hellenstainer professional school in Bressanone (2011-14). In 2015 he successfully completed the master butcher's examination in Augsburg and then joined his parents' company. What he particularly appreciates about his work is the contact with his customers. Often enough, the sentence "Here I can not only buy meat, but also learn something about it" is said - and Christian Agreiter is happy to be able to introduce people to the profession of the butcher in all its facets.

Butcher

The production of high-quality food, what you can do with a good basic product and the necessary knowledge and curiosity fascinates me. Respect for animals and nature is very important to me in my profession – that is one of the reasons why the decision to produce everything by ourselves, from the birth of the calves to the finished end product, was relatively easy. In this way I can guarantee the quality I want to offer and influence the goodness of the product from the very beginning.
